annakareninaby Leo Tolstoy

People kept asking me if I was re-reading it. What most impressed me were Tolstoy's astute observations about human nature.  There was such a  focus  placed on civility, on manners, on not being rude or being construed as impolite, all the while struggling with the meaing of existence. This book was a friend in my pocketbook, and I looked forward to reading it each day.
